What is the “Gospel of the Kingdom?”

Have you ever wondered what the “Gospel of the Kingdom” is?

A couple of days ago, the phrase “the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the earth” (Matt. 24:14) was running around in my head.  As I pondered it, I was wondering about the relationship of Ten Parts In The King and this Kingdom process of reaching the ends of the earth.

You see, the major topic of the book is what the Gospel of the Kingdom is and how it is being advanced by the King! Further, we explain the purpose of the existence Jews and Christians and their relative relationship.

So, imagine my surprise when, less than 24 hours after I began pondering the importance of our book and the “Gospel of the Kingdom,” I received an email notification for Ephraim Frank’s most recent blog post that in a few short paragraphs spells out the outline of our book!!  This is a MUST READ blog post!  It just may be the best three minutes of your week!

Then Will Come The…End?

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).

So, when will the “end” come? ? ? ?  This is the billion dollars (euros, yen, shekels, yuan etc.) question which has aroused countless speculations throughout the generations, and especially in ours.*

The conditional prerequisite for the “end” to come is that “this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the entire world as a witness to all the nations”. What Yeshua meant by “this Gospel of the Kingdom” and His definitions of it is an extensive topic which we will not cover here. However, in Acts 1:3 we are told that after His resurrection the Messiah spent His forty days on earth “speaking (to His disciples) of the things pertaining to the kingdom of Elohim”. It is quite significant, therefore, that that just before He was taken up these ones asked Him: “Master, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

Today, we are thankful!!!

The journey is finally over, or more likely, it is just beginning!  But, today we are most thankful. Ten Parts in the King went to the printer yesterday afternoon!! In a few days we should have a proof copy in hand to take a quick final look at before the first print run of a scant 2500 copies is ordered.

Honestly, we thought the process would have gone much faster, but the Father’s time and measured steps have been evident at every turn as He has blessed us with

  • new and relevant information that improved the book,
  • numerous proof readers with loads of valuable suggestions and input,
  • editors who saw mistakes and typos we didn’t, and
  • prayer warriors who stood in the gap lifting this project.

If this book is successful, it will not be because we are special or have any real effect, but it will be because it is time and our Father desires this message in the hands of the many. My secret prayer is 100,000 copies peppering this continent. Pray that with me and watch the Father make some HUGE moves for the Kingdom!!

Today, we’ll relax and enjoy some turkey. We’ll fellowship with family and friends.  We may even watch some football, but mostly, I know Al and I will take a relaxed deep breath that the book is finished and we merely wait expectantly for the proof copy.  Next week, we can begin planning the book launch, promotions etc. Today, though, we are simply thankful for the great grace and mercy of our King and His timely provisions and blessings.

Soon to be released, Ten Parts in the King

Roughly three and a half years ago, Al McCarn and I met over the internet.  Not long after our friendship began, we shared a telephone call wherein an idea was born.  I remember walking along our driveway, phone to my ear, as the sun began to set and we began to discuss the need for a book articulating and defending from Scripture the message of ‘The Prophesied Reconciliation of God’s Two Witnesses.’

The idea didn’t have the title so well articulated, however, it became an occasional subject of collaborative work over the following several years.  Then, about six months ago, we sensed the time had come and by the first week of May, we got together to rough out the idea and an outline.  Over that weekend we went much farther than we dreamed with two chapters committed to electronic paper and a clear sense of the Spirit in our sails.

In less than eight weeks, despite of some dry writing spells, the Father led us forward to complete a manuscript that is being finalized for publication.  The timing and the subject matter could not be more clearly proper.  The Father is doing something amazing in our day and we believe Ten Parts in the King reveals the heart of His purpose and plan as revealed in Scripture.  Please click here to continue reading
